A topic to discuss cover arts and artists. In order to not slow the Forum, here are some rules :

1/ No oversized pics : good size would be around 450x450 MAXIMUM, I suppose. If you see you're about to post an oversized one (like 650x650 or something), please put the link instead

2/ No more than 2 covers by post, please. If you want to post more than 2, then make another post, simple as that :P

3/ this is not a Posting Covers Contest : this is also to discuss about favourite cover artists. For example, and to start, my favorite is the mighty Dan Seagrave

The mighty Sabbat's Dreamweaver masterpiece..

And Diamond Head's classic Borrowed Time..

Those were the days when bands really thought about album artwork... The biggest failing in the cd format in my opinion ... SHITTY ARTWORK!

I've never focused on the work of any single cover artist, I rather enjoy the covers as they come ^^,

this is (what I think) the single coolest album cover made that I've seen up-to-date...

This one kind of started it for me! Classic character based theme.

Great one Slab with Diamond Head. Has that Frank Frazetta feel to it! He did a bunch for Molly Hatchet and Nazareth as shown below:

I like this one, it is a classic. There is an interesting story behind it too: The cover photo was taken at the Stockholm Opera, the dramatic landscape is a stage decoration. The man with the mask is a then quite famous Swedish bodybuilder. 8)
