Norwegian symphonic black metal band DIMMU BORGIR have issued the following update regarding the progress on their new as-yet-untitled album:
"We're more than halfway into it at this point and to say we're excited about this material would be an understatement!
There will be an orchestra and a choir which we still have to pick out, but judging from what we have so far and what is brewing, it’s going to sound absolutely massive and heavy, dark and epic!"

We regret to inform you that we have parted ways with both Vortex and Mustis. However, we do want to make it perfectly clear that the creative force in the band is highly intact, perhaps even more so than ever.
With that being said, we're currently working on our next album and are excited to start a new chapter in the legacy that is Dimmu Borgir.
